Slumber Deep
03:41
|
|
||
Buzz and slumber deep don't combine
White noise shredding sleep screams at me to begin my automatic life
Every single day I do what it says
Slick kick in my face keeps me low
Feelings move into fate and lead me to the belief I know I'll never know
Wishing every day I could make a change
Losing my freedom and I'm growing old
All this confusion takes its toll
Do you want a million dollars?
Buy the car you always wanted to
Do you want a million dollars?
Sell yourself if they ask you to
Every single day I do what they say
Losing my freedom and I'm growing old
All this confusion takes its toll

Spiders
04:59
|
|
||
I could hear the widow hiss
Beckoning from overhead
I, the fly, could not resist
When the widow spun her web
Forward first, going round and around and around and around
Then in reverse, back around and around and around and around
That was the worst, going round and around and around for second time
Going round and around and around for second time
The tarantula was old
And no threat, or so I thought
I stepped into his parlour boldly
And in no time I was caught
Spinning me all around and around and around and around
Then shaking me up and down up and down up and down up and down
He said to me:
Come around come around come around here again if you dare
This isn't the amusement I imagined I would find
In the future I'm refusing to ride
Inside out upon the ground
You go on and have your fun
I just want to go lie down
And regain equilibrium
I see the trees going round and around and around and around
It seems to me going round and around and around and around's
my destiny, going round and around and around to the spiders' delight
Going round and around and around to the spiders' delight

Too Many Cells
03:12
|
|
||
There's too many cells, they're folding in upon themselves
inside the craniums of homo sapiens
That's the breed that thinks it doesn't need to think about
the ugly legacy of its gluttony
See the cells absorbing, swelling till out of proportion
with their skeletons, skulls are filling in
with ideas and imaginary theories of a sliced umbilical to the physical
Our experiment seems to have failed
Planetary laboratory has a category
of mammalian alienating itself
Self-appointed kings of everything are even thinking
they're the summit of all that ever was
Lobes will overload on false opinions that erode
away humility, in futility
signs are sent by their surroundings, see 'em drowning in the
quagmire in between the ears of human beings
Our experiment seems to have failed
So top-heavy that they tip the balance that was steady
for millennia, many a generation
has come and gone but nothing's ever gone as wrong as
way too many cells maiming where they dwell
Long ago the slow and weak could not compete
and so to not become extinct they began to think
Now mentality's an obvious calamity
That old advantage has done untold damages
Our experiment seems to have failed

Spooked [demo]
03:52
|
|
||
Can you see me at the window looking in?
Flash of lightning illuminates my evil grin
Can you feel me as you walk home late at night?
Right behind you, closer closer every stride
I'm a spook, your head's my home
I come out when you're alone
Are you dreaming, or am I really in the room?
Should you wake up, or will you see me in the gloom?
I'm a spook, your head's my home
I come out when you're alone

Hedgehead [demo]
03:28
|
|
||
You with a head like a hedge
Why are you bothering me?
You've got an interesting way
Of getting something from me
And so you only see your own way
Although you see two ways at once
You're rooted down by those above you
You act so old when you're so young
No sense of humour at all
Just all your petty demands
They're gonna whittle you down
You're just a stump in the sand
And so you only see your own way
Although you see two ways at once
You're rooted down by those above you
You act so old when you're so young
(bridge, as recorded...)
Hey hedgehead with a soul like lead
And your aging sped up by dying inside your regulations
And it's three past nine, better write it down
In your little book of silly details
It's a tragedy that you seem to be
Satisfied with where you've been for so long
Take away the fun from a place so dull
And nobody cried when you left
And so you only see your own way
Although you see two ways at once
You're rooted down by those above you
You act so old when you're so young
[(bridge, as later improved...)
Hey hedgehead with a soul like lead
Might as well be dead as you petrify in regulations
And a set of rules that would guide the wise
But would bind a fool into stagnation
It's a tragedy that you see the need to declare:
'It's 9:03 and you're late!'
Take away the fun from a place so dull
Oh nobody cried when you left]

Fall Out [demo]
02:51
|
|
||
I will yell at you
And you assault me verbally
So we battle on
And we are both the casualties
But I will feel free again
And I will see clearly then
And you will be with me then
Though neither retreats
I know the treaty will be signed
Pieces turn to peace
Or is it only in my mind?
But I will feel free again
And I will see clearly then
And you will be with me then
